Antea Rood

Antea Rood is a teacher and practitioner in nutrition, Reiki, guided meditation, Crystal, light and sound therapies, a Doula, Conscious Conception Coach, and Medium. Antea sees clients at the AURA SHOP on the Original Light Bed™.

Her shamanic practice incorporates healing modalities from around the world to bring the mind, body and Spirit into harmony, removing blockages, programming, triggers, limitations, traumas and addictions that keep us from living to our highest Divine potential. Calling in Spirit Guides, she helps individuals remember and reclaim their inner truth and highest powers, implementing personal programs that assist in fulfilling life's true purpose.

As a Doula, Antea not only assists clients during birth, but helps them formulate unique birthing plans that can include aromatherapy, diet, breath work, movement, guided meditation, energy and bodywork. She provides information on birthing practices used around the world so that parents may choose those which are most serving for them. Antea is dedicated to helping your pregnancy, and the birth of your child, to be among the most enriching and magical experiences of a life time.

Antea grew up on a small organic farm in Vermont, where she developed a strong connection to nature and spirit.  Antea's first job at age 16 was managing a restaurant that specialized in organic and local cuisine. This inspired her to study studying nutrition and herbology in order to offer more medicinal cuisine in a superbly tasty way. At 18, Antea embarked on a journey to India to study the most ancient healing modalities in the world.  While living there, she became fully immersed in an eco community, studying Yoga, breath work, Shiatsu, Reiki, Ayurvedic Acupressure Massage, body cell consciousness, Vedic Astrology, Feng Shui, Biodynamic farming and Philosophy. After her studies in India, Antea continued to travel the world studying healing modalities and organic farming.

Upon her return to the United States, she continued her studies in holistic health and nutrition and took a position as therapist manager in a luxury spa, where she became familiar with more alternative western healing modalities such as light therapy and hydrotherapy. She has also studied  yoga, kundalini, flower essences, soul alchemy, sacred ceremony, green living and design, permaculture, biodynamic farming, biomimicry, sustainability and water quality and conservation.  

Along with being a practitioner at the AURA SHOP, Antea is also Co-founder of ECO EDEN, a sustainable community in the Santa Barbara region. The mission is to create a sustainable community with the soul purpose of uniting people to develop and implement physical and spiritual energy systems that stimulate a transition in global consciousness as we align with a new age. Supported by the use of ancient and innovative technologies, including biomimicry, all social practices and structures promote an ethical and creative way of living in harmony with nature. ECO EDEN is a prototype for many more communities to come, and we are committed to connecting and supporting existing sustainable communities and philanthropic endeavors worldwide.

Antea has a unique way of incorporating both ancient and modern healing modalities to assist her clients in achieving their highest personal goals, while acquiring the tools to live out their dreams in a harmonious, healthy way - physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually.
